When one lives in the industrialized part of the world and lives for a certain period of time, there seems to be this phenomenon which i call ‘ Be in theirs…leave your own’ … you adopt to the machination of this part of the world so much so that your complaints are vain in nature; you are asking why the food you ordered is a few minutes late, you complain why the Bus or train you use is not on time and forget the very nature to that 3rd world that you have left a long time ago; that there was no Guarantee that a Bus or train that can take you there.
So accustomed to the organized and regimented lives we have and so confident are we in the ability of science to provide fast solutions to mounting existential problems that we have started to use the term ‘I believe…’ to categorically deny things that science itself has proven. So successful have we become in the solving of the smaller problems that we cannot possibly be bothered to look at the structural issues regarding our very own survival.
Then came a pandemic from nowhere; and we found ourselves to be lacking in every measure of human capital. We lacked the solidarity to look for one another and ended up in this litte boxes that we hamed ourselves in and when that proved too much to handle, decided that there are ‘ forces beyond our sight and reach that swing things to their favor and i am not consulted in any of it, desto, i must fight these forces!!‘. Five years after this phenomenon the decreased level of ‘togtherness’ and solidarity to our fellow person is hitting its cynical limits in which we may not last as a community much longer.

suppose it is worth asking what it is the makes pride a natural and seemingly worthy habit of human beings. Though the past 150 years have been nothing short of a miracle when it comes to technology and the pursuit of Human welfare, the false pride attached to it with regards to how people in certain regions thought invincible to anything was amusing if not downright infantile. The Developing and developed nations debate, the Global north v south and the way the poorer south was told how to grow and prosper based on the prescription of the north was quite something to observe and behold.
